For Healing Hotels of the World, the organizer of the HEALING SUMMIT, it is all about committing to a good cause. We try to make the world a better place, day by day, bit by bit and for that we have engaged in a partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an initiative of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation. Our commitment to action at the last annual CGI meeting: Soul-to-Soul Practices for a Conscious Business Paradigm as well as promoting volunteerism within the healing hotel community, specifically around supporting refugees in receiving countries.
Anne Biging, co-founder and CEO of Healing Hotels of the World, turned her attention to both points immediately: Healing Hotels of the World will offer three and four-day workshops on employee development training for several healing hotels, focusing on healing, holistic and soul-to-soul practices, which will help to create a more holistic, in touch-society as does the annual HEALING SUMMIT that will take place again in Berlin, in March 2016. Additionally the Healing Hotels staff in Cologne lived up to their own philosophy and volunteered in helping refugees to support those who have lost everything.
The entire staff engaged in supporting refugees in a gym that housed 170 people on a regular basis, donated personal things and helped one family in particular to get started in Germany: beginning with administrational help walking from department to department within the city, showing them around Cologne, organizing furniture as well as simply spending time together eating, talking and exploring each other’s culture. There is one thing to state so far: no help whatsoever is too small and you always get back more than you actually give.
