It is not always easy to take time out and to fully focus on one’s own care and enjoyment. But at the Heart Retreat at Broughton Sanctuary, held at the beginning of November, we did exactly that. To sum it up: It was a perfect program, in a perfect location, with a perfect group of people.
It allowed us to achieve the goal of The Heart Retreat: to live with an open heart. How would you describe what it means for one’s heart to be open? For me personally, it’s when everyone present feels open, welcomed, in a safe space, and nourished, and when all are looking forward to the next step of the program.
What was the magic?
- A carefully crafted program with a harmonious interplay of information, experience, and sharing. It was a program of inner explorations that enabled us to make new discoveries, which will continue to enrich our lives.
- Joyful discussions at the fireplace.
- Educational walks in nature.
- A refined environment that was not only delightful but attentive to every need – a truly magical place filled with beauty and nature.
- The joy of being together and fully embracing each other’s stories and heartfelt experiences. We were eager to learn from each other, especially given our diverse backgrounds, understanding that to be touched at the heart is universal.
Reflecting on the Heart Retreat I find myself missing that beautiful and nourishing time. How wonderful it is to be together in such a way – what a perspective it offers for our lives.
New retreats are certainly on the horizon for next year, and I look forward to welcome you to one of them.
With heartfelt greetings,
Elisabeth
